To continue improving and developing advanced technology in fishing products, KastKing is forming a team of professional anglers. A leading rod, reel, line, and tackle accessory manufacturer, KastKing sells fishing tackle worldwide through various supply chains. With affordable innovation, ingenious designs, and novel concepts, this manufacturer has positioned itself as a powerhouse in the fishing tackle industry.
"Today, I'm proud to announce that Tony Roach will join Team KastKing as a Pro Angler", guide & educator. "Professionals like Tony collaborate with KastKing engineers to help us develop cutting-edge technology in fishing reels and help educate the fishing consumer on how to become more successful each time they hit the water," stated Al Noraker, president of KastKing USA.
Tony Roach, a well-respected fishing guide, tournament angler, and outdoor communicator, spends nearly 300 days a year on open water and ice. He operates Roach's Guide Service as one of the hardest working guides on Lake Mille Lacs. Whether he's on the big lakes—Winnibigoshish, Lake of the Woods, Winnipeg—or those coveted backwoods hotspots, Roach seems to always be on fish, from big walleyes to stout smallmouth bass, pike, and trophy panfish. This talent has made him a much sought-after commodity in the angling media. Tony regularly appears in national print and broadcast, including In-Fisherman and FLW Outdoors, Midwest Outdoors, Ice Guide TV, and numerous regional radio, internet, and newspaper outlets. He produces and distributes a weekly on-the-water fishing report via youtube.com and his website, roachsguideservice.com.
According to Roach, what really excites him about working with KastKing is getting to work with their engineers and design team. "I am always searching for the best reel to complement my fishing technique or style. KastKing reels are exactly that! They build reels with quality materials, industry-leading design, and innovation in both spinning and casting models. We share the same passion and drive regarding angling performance and perfection. I can't wait to work with the engineers to create quality reels that make you a better angler," said Roach.
"Tony Roach brings a work ethic to his craft unlike any other. But it's not just about working harder. He has the knowledge and skill to be recognized as one of the industry's most successful open-water and ice anglers," relays Noraker.
The partnership is more to Roach than a product sponsorship. "I am also excited to work with Al Noraker, president KastKing USA and Joe Woodward, marketing director, KastKing. It's great to work with like-minded anglers passionate about the product and the sport. I have worked with both individuals in the past, and I am glad to reconnect and work together again," added Roach.
"It is with great pleasure that I welcome Tony to our team, and I look forward to seeing how his influence will help us grow our brand and make the sport of fishing better at every level and for every angler across America," added Noraker.

2023 marks the 10-year anniversary of KastKing. A leading rod, reel, line, and tackle accessories manufacturer, KastKing sells fishing tackle worldwide through a variety of supply chains. With affordable innovation, ingenious designs, and novel concepts, this manufacturer has positioned itself as a powerhouse in the fishing tackle industry.
"Today, I'm proud to announce the addition of two Bass Pro Tour MLF Fishing Pros to Team KastKing with the signing of my old friend Skeet Reese and a new friend, James Elam. Both professional anglers bring amazing talent, passion, and credibility to our brand," stated Al Noraker, president of KastKing USA.
"Both anglers signify the quality and technology that KastKing brings to anglers of all abilities as they strive to win at every level, whether on the bass tournament circuit or simply enjoying the sport of fishing," he added.
Skeet Reese has one of the most successful careers in bass fishing history. Skeet is a Northern California native and is one of just a few anglers that have claimed both Bassmaster Elite Series Angler of the Year and Bassmaster Classic titles.
"I'm excited to be joining the KastKing team to represent KastKing reels."I love that they are a 10-year-old company that has gone against what traditional big brands have done. They have their own team of engineers developing their designs. KastKing started from scratch building great products at affordable prices," explained Reese.
"What impressed me is the combined high quality and affordable pricing. The quality is better than I've ever seen in many fishing products, so you'd expect the price point to be two to three times what they are. Comparable brands are in the $300 and $400 range, but you're often looking at comparable quality but at a mid $100 price point," added Reese.
Reese will be fishing the entire line of KastKing reels; however, the KastKing Speed Demon Deadbolt and KastKing Speed Demon Elite really impress him.
"A reel that is blowing my mind is the Deadbolt! It's so simple; it makes so much sense for popping a frog or punching. Why have extra parts in a reel that you don’t use? It simplifies fishing," said Reese.
Speed Demon Deadbolt baitcasting reels were designed to eliminate frustrations anglers were having with their drag slipping when fishing heavy cover by removing the drag. The rotation allows for powerful, slip-free hook sets.
"Speed equals efficiency. That's where the Speed Demon reels work. You don't waste time getting the bait back in the boat. At the end of the day, if I get in an additional 40-50 casts, it can make all the difference," said Reese.
A former Bassmaster Elite and Open champion, Elam joined the Major League Bass Pro Tour Circuit four years ago. He will be fishing Major League Fishing's REDCREST, the World Championship of Professional Bass Fishing, on Lake Norman in North Carolina this March, where he will be fishing KastKing rods and reels.
Elam's go-to rod series is the KastKing orange Speed Demon Pro Tournament Series. "There is a rod for every application a bass fisherman could need," said Elam. "You’ll usually see me with a Speed Demon Pro Tournament Series and a Speed Demon Elite reel in both the 10.5:1 and the 8.6:1 gear ratios, but there are several different reels I use for different applications", added Elam. He uses the KastKing Bassinator Elite reel for slower applications, especially in the slower 6.6:1 gear ratio. "When I need a smaller reel that throws light baits extremely well and can really zing, I love the KastKing Kestrel Elite Magnesium frame: BFS," he added.
"I'm excited to be on the KastKing team! I'm especially impressed at the affordability of all of the KastKing products. When bass fishing, it's easy to have a lot of money wrapped up in just a few products, but with KastKing, you can have a lot of great assortments and combinations in your boat at an affordable price. They've made innovation affordable for both the bass pro and the weekend bass warrior," said Elam.
"I expect both Skeet and James to push us to continue our growth and to develop new, cutting-edge technology that will help them win at the highest level. We welcome their requirement to be the best in everything we do, as it will push KastKing even harder to continue developing the highest quality and most innovative products available to anglers. I look forward to 2023 and beyond. I'll be their biggest cheerleader as they continue their quest for winning", said Noraker.

The brand has gained popularity among anglers by offering affordable innovation through in-house engineering, which allows KastKing to provide never before seen technology at truly remarkable prices. Ten years later, KastKing products have been sold in more than 60 countries across the globe through a variety of supply chains. ]]>When I first heard of the KastKing “Wall of Fame” Contest, I was excited and couldn’t wait to get all the KastKing anglers out there involved. This is going to be a great contest with super prizes weekly, monthly and the big boy grand prize of $2000 for the annual winner for each species. That’s a total of $16,000 for the taking. Anglers can enter their best catch in eight different fish – largemouth and smallmouth bass, trout, walleye, crappie, salmon, steelhead and catfish.
At KastKing, we have always been proud of stories by our anglers about their personal best catch; and even more proud when a photo was sent showing the trophy being released, or about to be released. Anglers from all around the world have always tried to beat their personal best each and every time they fish.
We (KastKing) initiated the “Fishing Wall of Fame” to encourage more anglers to constantly attempt to exceed their own personal best and record the results. And, at the same time, share the success of their breakthrough catch with more anglers by sharing the pictures.
The “Fishing Wall of Fame” is the record board for KastKing anglers. KastKing has set weekly, monthly and annual ranking boards to keep fishing fun and create a fishing tournament spirit. The ranking boards will be updated in real time after you upload your best catch photos. KastKing will reward the winners according to the rules, with the top dog on October 31, 2022, in each species walking away with the top prize of $2000. The “Wall of Fame” awaits you… so get those rods and reels ready and hit the water.
Please be very attentive and use a good quality, large number ruler where possible. If the rules committee cannot read the ruler, your fish will not be eligible. The release is very important to all of us here at KastKing. Please make sure you are ready to take a photo and please get the fish back in the water as quick as possible. When lying the fish down to be measured, try to be sure it is a soft, non-abrasive area. Do not lie the fish on wood chips, concrete walkway etc. Grassy field, towel or something similar will aid in reducing slime coat being removed and damage to scales and gill area.
To be eligible, just go to the KastKing website and “click” on Community, then “click” Wall of Fame. From the drop-down menu there are “Rules and Rewards,” “Ranking Board,” “Wall of Fame” and “Profile.”
The ranking board will consist of the following
The weekly Ranking Board will close at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) each Sunday. The monthly Ranking Board will close at 11:59 p.m. EST the last day of each month. The Annual Ranking will close on October 31st at 11:59 P.m. EST.
For the weekly portion, the top three anglers in each species will receive a Wall of Fame Badge and a Temps Iconic Can Cooler. Moving up to the monthly and the prizes jump as well. For the top three anglers in each species, the breakdown is as follows:
The Annual Winner in each of the eight species will receive a cash payout of $2000, plus a bragging rights “Wall of Fame Trophy Cup!”
This is going to be a great year for KastKing anglers. Stock up now on your favorite rod and reel combo, grab some Madbite Lure Kits, braided, monofilament and fluorocarbon line, then hit the water now, there is no time to waste.
At 63 years old, this contest is bringing out the “kid” in me again. The thought of catching your personal best, or eclipsing a personal best you have treasured for years will give you the extra incentive. Add in the great KastKing prizes and grand prize, and you have the makings of a great contest.
The last thing you have to think about now is where the “Wall of Fame” grand prize winning “Trophy Cup” is going to be displayed in your house!
Head over to the KastKing website (www.kastking.com) and check out some of the early season entries already on the boards and think about where you want to head to try and eclipse these beauties.
Good luck to all the participants… catch ‘em up.

]]>(For Immediate Release - Mar 1, 2022 – Garden City, Long Island NY) KastKing (kastking.com) has once again expanded their Pro fishing team to cast a wider net for bringing home the wins and putting KastKing in the spotlight.
Eight-year veteran Pro angler Robert Branagh, of Palm Bay Fl, signed with KastKing after winning the 2022 MLF Toyota Series Opener on Lake Okeechobee. Branagh had been fishing KastKing reels that he purchased himself for the last couple of seasons. Specifically, KastKing MegaJaws baitcasting reels carried him to the MLF Toyota Series win.
Branagh has been consistent in ABA, BASS Opens, and BFL Tours with four Top 10 finishes. In other career highlights, he has served as the captain for the Bobby Lane Tournament for Teens, and took the second place win in the ABA National Championship.
After signing Branagh, Al Noraker VP of Business Development at KastKing said, “All of us at KastKing are extremely proud to officially welcome Rob to Team KastKing! He has been using our reels for a couple of years simply because he loves the reels and the value that KastKing brings to tournament quality reels. And now, Rob will be fishing a full line of KastKing reels including the MegaJaws Elite, Bassinator Elite and new models that will be launched in March of 2022. He has also placed his confidence in KastKing fishing line and will be using our KastPro braided line for casting reels and our new KastPro 13X Finesse for spinning applications. We look forward to celebrating more wins and high finishes from Rob as he competes in the MLF Toyota Series tournaments.”
With five years spanning the Fishing League Worldwide (FLW), BFL, Bassmaster Opens, FLW Toyota Series Tours, Ross Rhodes, who competes in the NPFL also joins the KastKing Team.
Al Noraker says, “We are so proud to introduce our first NPFL Angler, Ross Rhodes. He is a tournament veteran and a skilled angler who we have a high level of confidence in. He will be fishing exclusively with both casting and spinning reels from KastKing as he competes at the highest level on the NPFL. We are looking for big things from Ross and we’ll be there every day to make sure he has everything he needs to succeed.”
Ross with three Top 10 tournament finishes, is out of PawPaw, MI. He lists his favorite KastKing gear as the KastKing Bassinator Elite and Speed Demon Elite reels.
Jake Chauncy, with two years of Pro angling experience in the MLF Toyota Series, BassChamps, Media Bass, Collegiate FLW – will compete under the KastKing flag in NPFL. Chauncy’s tournament record includes four wins and twelve Top 10 finishes.
Jake says, “To this point in my career my proudest accomplishment has to be getting the collegiate bass fishing team started at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. I was a college football player at the university and following my last year of eligibility (still had a year of school left) I wanted something more. Bass fishing is my passion and the college fishing thing was starting to boom at this point (2009). After doing my research as to what was needed to complete collegiately, I was able to convince the university to allow me to create a fishing team to represent the university on the FLW circuit. I'm proud to say that the team is still going strong and is now a legitimate program, with a full-time coach, and scholarship program.”
“A big welcome to Jake, our second NPFL Pro Angler!” says Noraker. “The NPFL is a new and rising league and full of quality anglers. We’re proud to have Jake on Team KastKing and look forward to all that he brings to the table for KastKing and anglers across America who want to learn from the best. We are especially proud of Jake’s efforts to help grow the sport of bass fishing by working hard to help build the collegiate program at Southeast Oklahoma State University. That was important to his personal growth but is also important to our youth everywhere and to our industry. KastKing is committed to growing the sport from the grassroots level, so we greatly appreciate what he has done. Welcome Jake and Fish Strong!”
Jake, who hails from Texarkana, TX recalls his favorite fishing moment, “It was definitely my very first pro tournament. It was surreal, I still remember it so vividly. The fact that I cashed a check was just the icing on the cake which made me feel like I belonged.”
Rounding out the new additions to Team KastKing is Chad Halvorson of Okanagon, WA who fishes the NWT. He has an impressive record with five tournament wins and 23 Top 10s. His career highlights include breaking the all-time Banks Lake Record - 2019 tournament with 52.81 lbs. and his career-best 18-lb. 3-oz. walleye caught on the Columbia River.
Al Noraker says, “We are so proud to welcome Halvorson to Team KastKing! He has already amassed five wins with only one year of professional tournament experience! He lives and fishes in eastern Washington along the Columbia River which happens to be one of my favorite places in the world. It is also in the heart of the best walleye fishing anywhere. Chad is stepping up this year to compete against the best walleye anglers in the world on the NWT and will be using all KastKing WideEye rods, KastKing reels, and of course, KastKing fishing line including braid, Kovert 100% Fluorocarbon, and monofilament line. The competition will be tough, but we know that Chad is up for the challenge, and we wish him the best!”

(For Immediate Release – February 3, 2022 – Garden City, Long Island, New York) Long Island New York based fishing tackle brand, KastKing, is set to introduce a new, patent-pending design fishing line spooler, the KastKing Kalibrate.
KastKing will launch their unique Kalibrate line spooler this month. Its line counter feature tracks the amount in feet of fishing line added to a fishing reel. It offers quick and easy spooling without line twist on spinning reels and baitcasting reels. Instructional cues are molded onto the spooler to remind anglers of the proper spooling set-ups for casting and spinning reels.
KastKing Kalibrate can be used anywhere and will handle ¼ lb capacity spools. It clamps on fishing rods from 0.150 - 1.0 inch in diameter. Rubber pads on the clamps prevent damage to rods. The product includes adjustable KastKing “Line Boss” line spooling tension bands that ensure that line is tightly spooled on the reel. The unique KastKing Kalibrate works with monofilament, fluorocarbon, and braided fishing line.
Kalibrate is manufactured with durable ABS and glass filled nylon material and stainless steel line guides for endurance in fresh water or saltwater fishing situations. Kalibrate’s light weight and dimensions of 7.5" x 2.25" x 1.75" allows it to be carried in any tackle bag for transport.
“The patent-pending Kalibrate is the first of its kind in the industry,” says KastKing Product Development Manager Scott Thomas. “This line spooler will make it very easy for the Kalibrate user to keep track of the amount of fishing line they are adding to their reel and will also save them money on line. With the Kalibrate, anglers can evenly split a 300 yard spool of line between two reels instead of ending up with 250 yards on one spool and not enough line left to spool a second reel. With a consumer friendly price tag of only $39.99, Kalibrate will be a home run with fishermen everywhere.”
KastKing has been a leader in fishing tackle management and won an ICAST Best of Category Award for their innovative design fishing rod storage racks.
The innovative KastKing Kalibrate with a MSRP of $39.99 will be available through kastking.com and Amazon.com.
]]>(For Immediate Release -- January 5, 2022 – Garden City, Long Island NY) KastKing (www.kastking.com) has once again added Major League Fishing Pro Cliff “Cajun Baby” Crochet to the KastKing Pro Team lineup and he will now also endorse and use KastKing fishing lines in addition to KastKing rods and fishing reels.
Crochet said from his home in Pierre Part, Louisiana, “I’ll be throwing KastKing Kovert fluorocarbon line and KastKing KastPro braid line from this point forward. It’s the same routine as with all of the KastKing fishing gear. You hear about it, you see it, and test it out, and come to find it’s legit. And, it’s a great value. KastKing has become part of my equipment that I trust and use every day.”
Al Noraker, VP Business Development, Eposeidon Outdoors says, “All of us at KastKing are extremely excited to announce that MLF Bass Pro Tour angler Cliff Crochet has re-signed with KastKing for the 2022 & 2023 seasons. Cliff will once again be using KastKing rods and reels as he competes on the MLF Bass Pro Tour. In addition, it is our pleasure to announce that Cliff will now be relying upon KastKing KastPro Braided Line and Kovert Fluorocarbon fishing line as he competes against the best bass fishing anglers today.
“Cliff has been instrumental in working with our designers to develop our line of Spirale fishing rods which feature American Tackle guides in a spiral wrapped design that offer incredible benefits to the power fisherman. Cliff is a true power fisherman and his confidence in all KastKing fishing gear, including fishing line, is a testimony to the quality that KastKing represents to anglers today. We look forward to following Cliff as he competes at the highest level.”
Crochet has been working with KastKing designers and product developers in creating a new concept fishing reel based on his ideas. It is being produced to his specifications to meet the demands of his power-fishing style. The unique, new KastKing baitcaster is due out later this winter.

Resolute baitcasting rod combos come with a 6.6:1 gear ratio, 7 + 1 ball bearing KastKing Valiant Eagle baitcasting reel.
The second series of KastKing combos is the Crixus rod series with IM6 rod blanks, making them lightweight and sensitive. Unlike the Resolute rods, Crixus has a conventional fishing line guide setup. They do have a SuperPolymer handle with an EVA foam fighting butt and foregrip. Baitcasting models come with a Crixus 5 + 1 ball bearing, 6.5:1 baitcaster, that has magnetic brakes and oversized SuperPolymer grips. There are many anglers who want to use the KastKing logo. There are rules about using the KastKing logo that you should know. The KastKing logo is a registered trademark of KastKing, a division of Eposeidon Outdoor Adventures, Inc. Sometimes that is also referred to as copyrighted. The KastKing name and its logo are protected by law and registered with the USPTO (United State Patent and Trademark Office).
You may be wondering, “Then how can I use the KastKing logo?” With permission you can use the logo for non-commercial purposes. That means you cannot create items, including apparel for resale, with the KastKing name or logo on them. If you want a jersey with the KastKing name and logo, KastKing already offers those on the website, www.kastking.com.
Okay, so you want a personalized fishing jersey with your name on it along with KastKing and maybe some of your other sponsors. That’s possible. You do need to have permission in writing from the KastKing Marketing Department, (email service@kastking.com) but there are a few things you have to consider.
As we mentioned, KastKing and the KastKing logo are registered trademarks, you are a lot more likely to be granted permission to use the KastKing logo by submitting a draft picture of your completed fishing jersey. Most companies that do custom jersey work provide this service. Along with your request for permission you should include exactly where and how the logo will be used. That will speed up the permission process. You can also use the KastKing logo in boat wraps, carpet decals, and such, as long as you ask about that in your email and you get a response.
There are some things to be aware of that may reject your request. KastKing does not support profanity, hateful language, racism, or discrimination. Be sure that there’s nothing like that on your jersey or boat wrap and you should be okay.
You may want to create the KastKing logo in other colors. That’s okay as long as you maintain the dimensions (height and width ratio) and don’t have the logo distorted. It has to have the same shape as the actual official KastKing logo.
Although these may seem like a lot of silly rules, KastKing simply does it to protect the reputation of the brand. KastKing would like to see anglers everywhere displaying the KastKing logo! For convenience, KastKing does have logo decals available on the website, or contact KastKing Customer Service Department.

How long KastKing has been in business is an interesting question. And it is a question that is asked often about KastKing. The fishing tackle industry is often shocked about how a new company started in a garage on Long Island, NY grew to doing business in more than 150 countries in only two years, and KastKing winning a coveted ICAST Best of Show Award in their second year was remarkable.
Okay, back to the question, how long has KastKing been in business? Tate Cui, one of the company’s co-founders filed Eposeidon Outdoor Adventure, Inc. as a corporation in New York State on March 15, 2013. This was immediately after he graduated MBA school at Syracuse University, where he attended on a full scholarship. To this day company management still jokes about the company being formed on the Ides of March. It is also interesting to note that KastKing’s well recognized black and orange brand colors were derived from Syracuse University’s “Orange Men” college sports team players. Eposeidon is the parent company of KastKing. Although Eposeidon didn’t do much in 2013, a lot of planning and market research was being done during that time. But, there was one product being sold out of that Long Island garage, Eposedion Superpower Braided fishing line. It became a bestseller. KastKing was formed as a brand in February 2014. Eposeidon is the parent company of KastKing, along with sister brands MadBite which handles fishing tools and accessory items, and Extremus, which creates outdoors products primarily for camping.
It is safe to say that it’s not so much how long KastKing has been in business, but it is more of a question of how much KastKing got done in a short time compared to other major fishing tackle brands. Eposeidon launched MadBite for terminal fishing tackle products, fishing tools and fishing accessories later in 2014. More recently Eposeidon developed an entire new brand area for camping, hiking, and hunting products that launched in December 2019.
So, that’s the story of how long has KastKing been in business with a look at some of where and when the other brands under the Eposeidon Outdoor Adventure, Inc., got their start. Whether it is KastKing, MadBite, or Extremus the company refers to March 15, the Ides of March, as Eposeidon’s incorporation date as the founding date for everything the Eposeidon umbrella of brands.
