Gill Raker II Gloves

I just purchased these gloves for fishing to help with sun protection and gripping my fishing rod.
I have not as yet taken them out for a trial run. They fit perfectly for my size hand (I purchased the Large size), they are comfortable, flexible and great looking. The palm side of the gloves are well covered and I think will grip very well. The length of the fingers is just what I wanted, they will not get in the way of tying knots or handling nippers or grabbing fish.
You will notice that Kastking has finished off the ends of the fingers by folding the material over and then stitching them, unlike many other brands that put the stitching at the end of the finger which can and does get snagged easily by hooks, gills, etc.
I would like to note that when I put on the gloves the velcro strap seemed quite short and did not fully overlap the base velcro. Someone with a little larger hand or wrist may have a hard time strapping up. Also, one of the pull tabs on my right hand popped the stitching completely as you can see in one of the pictures below, rendering useless.
These gloves are good, but could be excellent if Kastking lengthened the straps and secured the pull tabs better.

I bought a pair over a year ago for kayak fishing the Chesapeake Bay and irs tributaries. After catching everything from slot redfish, speckled trout to big blue catfish,These gloves have performed well above my expectations. From handling snagged cow nose rays boatside to catch and release striped bass (I do not harvest them) my hands are protected from braided lines, sharp spines and the sun....they have held up well and are still serviceable today...an occasional wash in our washing machine is the only maintenance I have done to keep them fresh. I recommend them!
