Speed Demon Pro Lithium-ion Electric Fillet Knife

Another fine product from KastKing of which I own several and all are quality and perform well. This electric knife is no exception with light weight and power and very sharp blades. Great carry case that stores everything in a nice compact bundle. Very pleased !!!!!

I own a number of KastKing rods and reels, and all have been of the highest quality. This electric knife is no exception! It is very well constructed, easy to handle, and has a very nice case to keep all the parts together. I particularly like the battery indicator light that warns you when it needs to be charged. I bought it to fillet large redfish which are particularly hard to fillet. This knife cuts through them like butter. I am very happy with my purchase !!!!!

A very handy and functional tool. Cordless for convenience. Includes exactly the two blade sizes I need... one suitable for panfish and one for larger fish. The supplied blades were extremely sharp. As others have mentioned, they are a little fidgety to install, but it's really no big deal. They stay put.

The included case is very nice! It's quite slim (think of the form factor as being like a large book -- see photo) and there is room inside for doing some custom work to make slots for additional blades if you desire. The fact that it will reportedly accept blades from other brands is a plus, if accurate. The battery has the capacity to very easily handle as many panfish as I usually clean at once (10-15). The battery has a cool "fuel gauge" to read out the current charge level and a nice A/C-powered battery charger is included.

I haven't used it enough to comment on blade edge retention, but I can easily sharpen that type of serrated blade with a small triangular stone, so it's not a concern to me. The build quality looks and feels very good and the ergonomics are excellent.

The only drawback --and it's a minor one-- of an electric filet knife is that the handle is much larger in diameter than a normal filet knife and the blade is a little less flexible, so it's necessary to set up your fillet board next to the edge of the counter or table or raise it up on a block so you can get the knife horizontal to your work. I know that some folks like to keep a traditional filet knife handy for taking the skin off the fillets, but I don't find that necessary.

I'm happy with this KastKing knife and think it's a good value, like their other products. I've been debating buying an electric fillet knife for years and I'm glad I finally got one.

This cordless filet knife is great! It's easy to handle and well balanced. Both sets of blades were very sharp, and as long as they’re lined up correctly, locking them into the handle was easy. I love that the battery has a charge indicator and a charger is included. It comes with a case with nice cut compartments and extra room to customize. Easy to store the knife and take on the next fishing trip!

I've had several Kast King items and true to form, was not disappointed in this purchase. The fillet knife comes with four different sized articulating blade sets. I've never owned a "fishing" fillet knife before, si I wasn't familiar with the two blade design that this knife has. The blades reciprocate opposingly, creating a dual cutting action that quickly cuts through the flesh. I didn't have any fish to practice on, but i DID have some beef roasts and a whole chicken. I opted for the smallest of the blade sets and went to town. Did a great job of quartering the chicken, but got hung up on the beef fat. Anyone who has ever cleaned a deer will understand that sinew and fat are some of the hardest things to cut, so I don't think it was a failuer, only that I was using it for something it wasn't designed for. Its a great kit, stores in a nice flat, easily stowable padded case, and will have a permanent home in my fish cleaning arsenal. Having nothing to compare it to, I'd say this is the BEST fillet knife I've ever owned!
