Verus Baitcasting Reel - Upgraded Version

I received my Versus reel & 7'6" MH power Versus Swimbait rod, spooled it up with 20 lb. Hammer Braid and when smallmouth fishing on Lake Ontario casting an A-Rig loaded with Keitech Swimbaits on 3/16 oz jig heads.

This rod & reel combo did an excellent job with this presentation. Provides excellent smooth casting and sports a silky smooth drag.

I'm already looking forward to my next session when I start casting large single boottail swimbaits and glide baits.

Looks great. Can’t wait to use it

This will be my 4th Baitcasting reel and they all work great!

Fine reel

First impressions for this reel are great. Feels like it's made of quality materials. I like that the spool tension knob has detents so I can feel and hear exactly how much adjustment I'm making. Spooling it up with some 12lb mono and putting it on a cheap 66 rod I have I have yet to have a backlash. Playing with the tension and brake I feel like this thing cast forever long and is going to quickly become one of my new favorite reels. Very good bang for the buck. More to come as I get more time behind it. Tight Lines everyone!

Absolutely phenomenal reel, paired with 20lb fluro and it cast my swimbaits or glide baits flawlessly
