I have 3 of these rods and have had all 3 break. One was my fault but the other two broke on a hook set on a bass right at the base by the reel seat. The customer service was great and they replace the two that I didn't break, but I worry on every hook set with them. The reels have been great. Only one issue and they sent me the parts to fix it. I have around 8 different reels at the moment.
It’s light and sensitive. The only flaw I think is the tip guide. It should have been smaller to prevent the line from wrapping when you want to stop your cast. Besides that, i’m super stoked with this rod. It has been my go to nasa fiahing rod paired with a Zephyr 1000 SFS. Kastking also has top not support. I am super pleased!
Great rod for bass fishing. I got the lipless crankbait rod. It is very light. About the same as a googan squad black series reaction rod. Weight, blank material, line guides, reel seat, and action are similar to the googan. Only difference is the Kastking looks way better and has a more comfortable handle. Plus, the googan squad charges $300 for the rod plus $12 shipping and handling fee which is ridiculous since I can get the kastking rod for only $130 and I get free shipping, 10% off, no tax, and 117 loyalty program points (worth $5 when redeemed). I will not be buying a rod that does not have a kastking logo on it from now on.
