Tough and Water Resistant

KastKing tackle bags are made from tough 420D rip-stop nylon material for exceptional long term performance and reliability. A hydrophobic coating sheds moisture from the outside and an inner PVC layer provide double protection to ensure your fishing tackle is protected from damage and the elements. KastKing’s compression molded waterproof bottom repels standing water and the tacky material grips any surface to ensure the bag doesn’t slide.

Functional Design

Designed for function and efficiency with the angler in mind, the double molded tool holder ensures easy access to fishing pliers or other fishing tools without fumbling through your bag with a fish on the line. The external pockets are designed to hold a 3600 tackle tray for additional bait capacity. Double loop zipper pulls offer quick and easy one finger operation, and self-healing zippers ensure your bag won’t become useless by an accidental split zipper.

The bag is not waterproof

Overall it is a good bag. It collects water in the bag when it rains. While recently fishing in Ontario during several rainy days the bag filled with water and I had to empty several times. The base is waterproof as it held about 1/2 inch of water.

Bought the Hoss

I wanted a bag that was good for our 14' aluminum boat and shore bass fishing. If you're like me and want access to a lion share of your tackle, then this is the bag. Son and I typically carry 5-6 rods when shore fishing and the strap is great for that; both the shoulder and handle strap are reinforced down to the rubber carriage underneath. Zippers are top. notch, too.

The 3600 kast king boxes fit well enough for a quick zip-up, and i swap some of them on occasion depending on the tackle I want to fish that day, but my buzbe basics are less cumbersome. If i'm more selective in my 3600 box inventory and keep one or two at home, I have enough space for two medium water bottles and two small shelf stable lunches.

Again, this is a fantastic bag if you're shore fishing a reasonably accessible shore line, and prefer to have most of your tackle at your disposal for piece of mind. That being said, if you load it up it's not particularly light, but doable when fishing spot-to-spot, and much better than a conventional medium plano box with only a handle. But if you're stream fishing and rock hoping find a lighter backpack or small waist strap system.

Overall, I'm quite happy with my purchase.
