Convenient

Besides the obvious advantage of easy travel over the traditional 1 & 2 pc fishing rods, they save valuable fishing time because you can leave the reel on the rod, line through the guides and fully rigged. Simply open the bail with line through the guides and hook attached, extend the rod to its working length and you'll be fishing again in seconds without re-rigging. Telescopic rods are portable, convenient, and easy-to-carry. Travel anywhere with your Blackhawk II travel rod.

Superior Quality

The entire series of spinning rods and casting fishing rods makes a great travel fishing pole or back-up telescopic fishing pole.

Quick Assembly

Extending the rod starts at the tip section! As shown in the image, extend each section while aligning the guides one section at a time. Simply extend the tip section until it stops, align the guides to the tip top guide and repeat with all sections. To collapse the telescopic fishing rod to its travel rod length, start at the bottom of the rod and collapse each section with a simple twist as you work your way to the tip of the fishing rod.

I’ve owned many of these rods.

I’ve owned over 10 of these rods and I really like them. I travel and fish A LOT. So these work perfect for me and they’re pretty much the only rod that I use. I’ve only had two rods fail on me and luckily the rods were within warranty and kastking warrantied them completely hassle free.

Honestly they are the best telescopic rod on the market. The floating guides is what really sets the Blackhawk II a level above other telescopic rods. It feels and operates just like a normal rod in your hands. The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star is for two reasons.

Reason One: being that it’s a telescopic rod I really feel that guide dots or something similar would really help when extending the rod out to ensure that the guides are straight.

Reason Two: I really think there should be a larger selection of rod action and power. Most of the rods are fast action but I would really like to have some that were moderate action. As well as having some that were light or even ultralight power.

If the two reasons I stated above were implemented I would give these rods a 5 star rating hands down. But you can’t go wrong getting one as they are right now. They’re still fantastic rods to use!

It takes a little bit to get all the eyes lined up like I want them but after that I am impressed how the rod handles. I have used it several times and it is going to work great for me to keep in the truck and use when I have to hike a ways to my favorite fishing spot

Tips snapped

I left a review saying these held up well. Unfortunately both tips snapped off by the end of the week. I’ve been using very light tackle on therm both catching maybe 1/2 lb fish.I bought them about ten days ago :(
