Megatron Titanium Telescopic Spinning Rod

This is a fantastic rod! I'm a fan of travel rods because I enjoy the versatility. This rod was no exception. I traveled to Virginia for work and took my new Megatron rod and Skeet Reese Icon with me to try for the first time. I hit up some of my favorite spots from when I lived there. The rod looks great, really high quality. The titanium tip is tough and forgiving without losing any sensitivity. The rod (6'6" M/F) could easily cast a 1/8 oz bladed jig 30+ yards with no problem. And the rod action was good enough to to start the mini bladed jig with a slow reel speed and you could easily feel the tiny vibration from the small blade. In the 5 days I was back I caught 15 fish gradually getting bigger until I landed a nice 4 pounder which it handled like a champ! I was also able to bank flip a 3 pound bass I caught earlier in the week. All travel rods come with a trade off, while it was sensitive it's obviously not going to be sensitive as a one piece rod. I love that it fits in a suitcase or backpack. The only minor negative (again a trade-off) is the free floating guides, which add additional guides without adding additional sections (positive) can sometimes twist 90 degrees during a cast. Simply reach up and fix it and you're good to go. It's a minor inconvenience out weighed by everything else.

Great product. No need to break down for travel. I keep mine rigged up with the cover on in my trunk and stop by creeks and rivers on my way home from work. Definitely plan on buying more when they hit a sale.

I purchased the Kastking Megatron telescopic rod. I have been putting it through the paces and it is an awesome rod. I had a minor issue where the top tip started coming loose. I reached out to customer service and they are sending me a new rod. Awesome company!
