UPDATE: KASTKING EARNED MY 5 STARS!
When I originally wrote this review, I started it with the words, "I am hoping to be able to change this review."
Well, today I am extremely happy to say that I CAN!
First, I want to make something very clear. My original disappointment was with the condition in which my Patriot Spinning Combo arrived and the frustrating experience I had with the third-party shipping protection company, Seel. My original review was never intended to suggest that KastKing had provided poor customer service.
In fact, what happened afterward has completely changed my opinion of this entire experience.
After posting my original review, I was contacted directly by Winnie from KastKing's customer service team. She asked for photographs of the damaged rod and followed up with additional questions to make sure she understood exactly which section was broken.
Initially, Winnie informed me that a replacement rod section would be sent. Unfortunately, that section was not available in their parts warehouse.
Now, this is where KastKing truly impressed me.
Instead of telling me there was nothing else they could do, they offered to replace the ENTIRE Patriot rod and reel combo! They provided a prepaid return shipping label, and I shipped the damaged combo back to their warehouse.
Today, I am happy to report that my replacement Patriot combo has arrived, and everything is in perfect condition!
Keep in mind, I had already purchased a second Patriot combo with my own money because I did not want to miss out on this limited-edition product. KastKing did not have to contact me after my review, but they did. They took the time to investigate my concerns, communicate with me, and ultimately make things right.
As a retired U.S. Army veteran with 22 years of service and nine deployments, I place tremendous value on integrity, accountability, and keeping your word.
When I wrote my original review, I said I hoped I could change it. I meant that, and I believe in giving credit where credit is due.
KastKing has absolutely earned that credit.
I especially want to recognize Winnie for her professionalism, patience, and outstanding customer service throughout this process.
Products can be damaged during shipping. Mistakes happen. But how a company responds when something goes wrong tells you a great deal about the people behind that company.
KastKing didn't just replace a broken fishing rod. They earned my respect, my five-star review, and a loyal customer.
I look forward to purchasing more KastKing products in the future, and I will gladly recommend them to fellow anglers.

Original review below for transparency. I am hoping to be able to change this review. I ordered the Patriot Spinning combo to replace an older setup that was due for retirement. I was excited because I am a 22 year Veteran of the US Army with 9 deployments 6 of which were to Combat Zones. I received my order this weekend and the shipping box was completely destroyed, then I opened it and the shipping tube was destroyed and of course after I opened the shipping tube I found the Rod to be Broken as well. Was not to worried about it because I purchased the Seel Hassle Free Shipping Protection. So I contacted them and asked for an exchange. They replied with we do not do exchanges only refunds. I supplied them with pictures and a statement. I was told they would be in touch in 2 business day. After I completed that with them I immediately ordered a new combo set to replace the damaged one. This morning I get an email that basically told me they would give me 50% back and to look to see if the product was available from another vendor. Not sure what is hassle free about this. Hopefully things work out and I get me refund and my 2nd set I ordered shows up intact.
