I loved my Spartacus 11 5000 reel the first time out but yesterday my second outing with it the anti reverse broke so now what do I do with it
Don’t let the price fool you. This reel is amazing. After fishing with it this past summer season putting it through saltwater every week and cleaning it after every trip, it is just as smooth when I first got it. Handles fish very well and doesn’t feel like it’s too cheap. This reel feels like a 100+ dollar reel. Definitely going to buy more in the future.
I wanted to make a ernest review I have fish with it a few times now. It's actually a great reel, saltwater approved and strong just wish I had a rod to much the color.

Took this reel out fishing right out of the box and after spooling it, no matter what lure I was using on it I got consistent smooth accurate casts every time!
I run a charter service out of Henderson Harbor, NY Lake Ontario. For the past 90 days my clients have enjoyed using the Spartacus II (size 2000) spooled with 8 lb. braided line to cast football jigs for bottom hugging smallmouth bass. All of them comment on how far the reel casts as well as the smooth drag. I keep the drags adjusted so they give just a touch of slippage on the hookset and because these reels don't have the kinetic release like other eels , once the drag engages it's a super smooth release to allow line to play off the reel with no jerky or pulsating feel. I highly recommend this reel to anyone that's interested in spinning gear. Fantastic price point for a durable reliable reel that performs as intended
