Great Rod, Great Price

I’ve been using this with my Mg-Ti reel and love it! It’s checks multiple boxes for me with the power/action, hook keeper location, cork handle, and the design itself. It looks great and casts great, and the price is awesome.
I broke the tip on my first trip out trying to get a snag, it was 100% my fault. So glad it came with a spare tip!

I’m 64 years old and have been fishing since I was 4. Through the years I e tried bait casters, but always went back to spinning rods. After seeing the YouTube videos for KastKing bait casters I decided to have another try. I absolutely love the Spartan 2! What a great combo and the reel feels so well made and precise. It functions like a Swiss watch. The rod is also super well made right down to the SS eyelets. Well worth the money! I’ve only been out in the yard with it, but I’m super excited about getting out on the water with it.

This is great paired with the Spartacus II Plus reel. The only complaint I have, which may be from shitty knot tying skills, is my FG moving through the tip quide. Any leader knot I use seems to hang on it, but shortening my leader can fix that.
