This is a light reel, very sooth. Casts zman padlerz 4" a long way. Good for dropshoting, flipping light rigs.
Great reel game changer for light line fishing
Not bad. Just can't really throw teeny tiny lures with it. Anything 1/16 oz. or above is super easy to cast. I put 8 lb braid on it.
I am really trying hard to like this reel, but it is making it difficult. I have been using this reel for a few months though. I thought a lot of the issues were learning the reel. This reel does not perform well like the other BFS reels that I have. No matter how much tuning that I will do with the brake and tension I always will get an extreme amount of backlash that causes the line to go in-between the spool and the reel housing. Because of this issue the line will get wrapped in the shaft and gearing. I then have to disassemble the reel to fix this issue while I have a lure in the water. Instead of attempting to save a few bucks I should have just bought another shimano. If you want headaches and the joy of fishing sucked away from you buy this reel.
Love it so far... getting used to bfs, especially with 8lb braid. Can't beat it for the money, feels more expensive. Nice build. Wish there was more options in US for bfs rods to match. I thnk it seems better with light to ml rod 6 - 10lb.
