I purchased the Speed Demon pro rod and bait cast reel combo for spinner/chatterbait.
I have straight 15 pound braid on it. Everything feels great.
I own multiple speed demon (drop shot also) and lasting rods/reels. I love them all. Close to perfect.
The only negative of the rods for me is that the grips have to be glued on after receiving as they are barely attached.
The bait cast reel had difficulties casting lighter lures but worked great with my heavier spinners.
As always, Kast King rods bring in the bigs.
A great product for your money! I ended up breaking the tip off (about 3 inches), but loved the rod so much bought a second one.
I like the balance and how light it feels. I fish from a kayak and like the power to get bass out of the weeds and off the bottom. Looking forward to adding a few more to my collection!
At first I thought it was too light for a jig but rod is strong and gets to backbone and sets hook just fine. I'll buy another. Probably the frog rod?
