Powerful S-Curve Graphite Rod Blanks

KastKing KONG series rods are designed for anglers targeting massive fish in fresh and saltwater! These lightweight, powerful, 100% graphite blanks are made of high-strength S-Curve graphite reinforced with Nano-Resin technology that delivers amazing strength and lifting power but are still incredibly light and sensitive.

Stainless-Steel Double Foot Guides

Because KastKing KONG rods are made to handle giant fish, every component must be up to the challenge. We use only stainless-steel, double foot guides because of their strength and each guide has an ultra-smooth Titanium Oxide ring which is designed to perform flawlessly with heavy braided line. The combination of strong frames and durable rings are perfect for extreme conditions.

High-Strength Components

When targeting big fish, every component must be up to the challenge. We use extra strong graphite reel seats with nylon reinforcement to ensure that large reels stay secure. Custom handles feature an EVA core for comfort and a rubber cross wrap for durability. Foregrips have a spiral cross wrap with finger slots that provide control over big fish. Some models also include graphite gimbals in the fighting butt.

Chartreuse "Strike Tip"

The bright chartreuse "Strike Tip" enhances early strike detection even in low light conditions and quickly alerts you to even the lightest bites, so you never miss a fish. The "Strike Tips" are also great for night fishing but equally well in bright sunlight.

Good inshore set up

Paired it with a Kapstan Elite 8500 running 80lb braid. Good feel and durable...not a sensitive as other brands but does pull the bigger battles with less effort.

Great Pole for Landing those Huge Saltwater fish

fter landing a 22" redfish on a different pole and watching it bend and bind like a water noodle, I quickly realized: we’re not bass fishing anymore. If I wanted to seriously target big saltwater fish, I needed a rod that could stand up to the fight. That’s when I decided to pick up the KastKing KONG Saltwater Rod.

I paired it with my Spartacus II Spinning Fishing Reel and headed back out on the kayak, excited to put it to the test. I haven’t hooked another redfish yet, but the KONG got its first real workout when I landed my first Yellowtail Jack.

At first, the rod felt a little heavy in my hands—keep in mind, I’m fishing sitting down in a kayak, which definitely changes the feel compared to standing on a larger open-water boat. However, it didn’t take long to adjust. After a short while, I was casting it just as naturally as any of my lighter, less beefy rods.

The strength and backbone of the KONG are impressive. It feels incredibly solid and inspires confidence that it can handle just about anything I hook into. I've used it a few times now, and it keeps impressing me every trip. I honestly can’t wait to see how it holds up against an even bigger fight—hopefully a monster red or maybe something even heavier.

Final Thoughts:
If you’re serious about catching big saltwater fish and want a rod that feels up to the task, the KastKing KONG is absolutely worth it. It’s strong, reliable, and once you get the feel for it, a blast to fish with. See for yourself—you won’t be disappointed.
