I purchased the new Rekon 30 Reel for inshore fishing, shipping was quick, showed up, took it out and was impressed how well made it is, how smooth it is and comfortable. It’s being spoiled with Destron braid and it my new go to setup!! Great quality at a great price!!!
I've only had the reel for a couple weeks and only used it in freshwater so far but so far it's very nice! Big carp, Sturgeon, and catfish so far but im excited to have it down on the Gulf with me this weekend for some big saltwater beasts! Very smooth and it just feels like quality- definitely worth every penny! I'll be definitely added another to my arsenal!

I have not had time to use this reel just yet. I do plan on it soon. Impression so far is positive. Smooth reeling and easy to add line. Seems built well and nothing I can see that is bad for now.
It's going on 3 weeks I been having this reel it's a 4k size. It has become one of my favorite reels. It handle a nice size black drum at least 36in it was lost do to netting error
