Spartacus II Twin-Tip Baitcaster Rod and Reel Combo

There are a lot of things I like about this fishing pole and reel. I went with the 7'1 medium heavy with the caster reel. I would say the tip leans more on the heavy than medium which is perfect for the intended use; catching huge bass in Bass lake (California) and keeping them up off the rocky shoreline. Even with being over 7ft long, it is very light weight and well balanced making it easy to hold.

One thing that caught my eye was the attention to detail in shipping; very heavy duty packing, well insulated with 2 identical rod ends & the reel all in one package. Was pristine when I pulled it out. The finish on the fishing pole is very nice. The flat or matte green paint is not going to reflect the sun which is perfect for lake fishing.

The reel is extremely high quality. The reverse break is immediate. The adjustment for the drag is simple, has small fractional adjustments you can make with one finger on the same hand that you are holding onto the pole with. When you reel in, you can really see the gear ratio in action. Doesn't take long to reel in the spool. It breaks apart easily, simple to line up the eyes. The eyes are good quality, solid, strong, they do not look like they will bend or be a weak point. I don't see any weak points or issues with it.

Overall, I am very happy with this fishing pole and reel combination. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their rig.

This KastKing Spartacus II fishing baitcaster rod & reel combo is great quality and an amazing value! I really love the hunter green colors and the metal flake finish on the reel with lime green accents. Both the rod and reel are very lightweight yet durable for many fishing expeditions. The reel has a graphite frame and is very smooth with a 7.2.1 gear ratio, 7+1 ball bearings and 17.6lbs of max drag. The reel handle has large EVA foam ends on it for awesome gripping power and the aluminum spool is slotted. There is a non-slip rubber cork handle on the grahite rod for durability and stainless steel rod guides with zirconia rings for smooth flow of the fishing line. There is also a hook keeper molded into the forgrip on the rod. There is an extra rod tip included which is also amazing! This product came packed very well in a hard cardboard square tube which was packed inside another box. I have other KastKing products and am very pleased with all of them. I am very impressed with the overall design, features and quality of this fishing rod & reel and highly recommend this product as well as other Kastking products to all anglers out there.

Love this fishing rod, great comfort grip. The rod is nice and flexible . The reel is ultra smooth and very sleek. The reel is lightweight aluminum and works great.
