So i purchased this combo about 2 weeks ago and i didnt like it and heres why, theres so many other combos you can get with the price of this rod, but one thing that stance out the most out of all the rods is the dual tip. for medium or medium heavy. the casting is smooth, with flouro or braided, i used 30lb braided , then i switched it to 15 flouro seagar. and let me tell you the casting distance was the same on both. which is pretty far. i feel like its not even the type of line, but the quality of it. i am very satisfied with this purchase and for it to be my first baitcaster i feel like a pro already with the breaking system it has and the easy to use adjustment knob, its great overall best purchase.
Right out of the box it just felt right.. on the rod felt even better,added some flouro and took very little time to adjust. Cast a mile and smooth as silk. Dual tip rod just the icing on the Kastking cake.

Very decent rod and reel setup. The reel might be a little over braked but other than that it's been a great buy. I've caught several large mouth in the 4-8 lb range with it and have no complaints on the overall performance. I only use the medium tip, and I put 15 lb braided on it with a 15 flourocarbon leader. Casts great with that. If you set the tension and Brakes correctly, it will never backlash. I've casted it without thumb and it didn't backlash, but again tension and the brake have to be properly adjusted. I keep the brake aroun 2-0 (as low as it goes) and thats enough. Any higher and i feel like it starts to reduce casting distance. I haven't thrown any supper light jigs with it but I don't think this combo is made for BFS. It's definitely more of a Bass rig to throw lures with or even troll for walleye if you're into that sort of thing
