Nice quality rods for a nice price.

Recieved a few rods for an upcoming trip. They look and feel great. They are travel rods so, we will see how well the 4 sections work as a whole! Looking forward to using these. Look for an update.

The Eagle Passage Travel rod performed very well. Fast action, tip zeroed quickly (no boi-yoi-yoing energy loss) on casts or hook sets. Very authoritative cast and hook sets. I threw lures from 3/8-2-3/4 oz comfortably. Excellent action for how I like to fish. I will buy another slightly different to optimize for different conditions.
For the price the Eagle Passage can’t be beat.

Kast King Valiant Travel Rod -- Updated Review--2/21/24

I just returned from Tampa, Fl., to Fort Worth, TX where I had the chance to travel with Kastking Valiant Eagle Passage Travel Fishing Rod. I bought the 7f 6in (fast) rod, and paired it with a Kastking Sharkey 3000 and 30lb braid. We used a 20lb leader. I allowed family members who have never touched a fishing rod to use it, and they were casting 25-30 yds---no windknots, no birdnests, not one tangle. All with 1/4 or 3/8 oz bullet weights. In one day with plastic worms we caught 6 bass! But, here is the important thing: Indeed, it is a travel rod. It breaks downs into four pieces, and I easily stored it underneath my plane seat. Neither TSA nor AA raised an eyebrow when I asked if my fishing rod was allowed as carryon. No problem whatsoever! The plastic case where the rod is stored is sufficient for carry-on. I advise you not to store it in checked-in luggage--the rod and case won't survive as you already know how luggage is handled at airports. Carry it with you at all times as it is very light. This is $50 well spent, if you want to fish with a quality rod. I didn't have a chance to surf fish with it. But, based on experienced performance this rod should not have any trouble casting a 2oz Kast master out to the horizon. Excellent purchase on my part.

Looks good!

For the price, can’t beat it. I have yet to test on the ocean pier? Did sling bubble rig in my pasture with it probably 2-3 oz and it cast very well. Travel tube leaves some to be desired, but at this price point, you can’t expect any more. Free delivery slow but was free!!!
No complaints upon first inspection. Hopefully first fish goes as well? Using to target Spanish Mack’s.
