Weighing in at an ultra-light 4.5 ounces, the Kestrel Baitcasting Reel combines feather-light design with rigid performance. The Kestrel Baitcasting Reel redefines angling with a host of premium features. Its TPE handle, meticulously designed for comfort, ensures a superior grip, turning every cast into a pleasure.

Equipped with the Finesse Optimized FAF (Flyout Arc Finesse) Braking system: Two half-ring magnetic brakes automatically adjust to slow down the spool when braking is needed to prevent backlashes. As the speed of the spool decreases, the magnetic field inside the spool diminishes and the magnets retract to maximize casting distance. There is also an external fingertip brake adjustment dial for fine tuning spool speeds for smaller baits.

Mastery in finesse extends to the Kestrel's shallow spool, a micro-marvel weighing only 5.6 grams. Perfectly suited for smaller diameter lines, this ultra-lightweight shallow feather spool enables anglers to cast down to an impressive 1/32 oz with minimal effort.

Very pleased with the kastking kestrel bfs rod and reel I caught a 5 pounder first fish was a blast very pleased how the reel preformed and handle the big fish was blast haven’t had the much fun in awhile would definitely recommend the ML rod also was great was able to get good hook set very pleased reel was also easy to set up I’m just being to use bait casting reels and this was the first one that I have been able to cast with out spending half my time untangling only had one time and that was my fault not the reels

I like the reel. I do have a hard time telling the difference between the zypher and the Kiestrel. I can not say anything negative about either! Great products

Bought two and they are great so far. Casting little bitty lures is great, very smooth drag, definitely feels like a much more expensive reel. Looking forward to trying out the Elite version.
