The reel is amazing but sadly my rod tip broke off but other than that it was an amazing combo I cough my pb lager mouth bass on it
Put it together with Kast King super slick line and can almost cast all the line off the reel with a 1/8oz jig with lite swimbait!
My first time using a baitcaster....these are very forgiving and very enjoyable to use and learn. I won't be fishing with lures below 1/16 oz. For the range I use 1/16 to 1/4...they work very well and I can cast over 60 feet with 1/16 and over 100 with 1/4. Plenty of distance for the rivers I fish. Using 8lb mono. The rods are very stiff and very fast if that helps anyone. These are not soft tip quick flip casting rods as I have scene on some videos. Was able to land a surprise 6lb catfish...the rod did not have the backbone to easily bring the fish off the bottom...but it was strong enough to keep it away from a sunken log and eventually land it. I have the Feather lite and the Ultra lite.
