When the spool reaches peak speed an auto-adjusting centrifugal brake's braking bars are thrown out, reducing the speed of the spool and avoiding backlash. LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN: Upgraded MegaJaws reels, adopting KastKing Palm Perfect ergonomic engineering, are only 41mm tall and much lighter than before. Fishing reel total weight was reduced from 7.6 oz to only 6.5 oz on the new model. Main gears and main gear shafts are made of hardened aerospace 7075 aluminum. The real not bad at all. Not as smooth as my elite. But good. Held up well to a 5 lbs bass this weekend. As for shipping not so good. Paid for 3 day shipping. But I belive it left after the second day I order it. I had to contact them. But once it left them and usps got it. It took a total of 9 days to receive it
First, I actually read the instructions and actually learned something. How to set the drag really makes sense.
Once I followed the instructions on setting the spool tension for the lure, I never had a backlash. It’s actually cool to watch. Right before it hits the water, it just slows down. Freakin awesome!

I have two of the MegaJaws reels and they are amazing!! One in 7.2:1 and one in 6.5:1. Both have been smooth and trouble free for over 3 years now. I fish bass tournaments and these things get a workout. Highly recommend!
This reel is so smooth casting and has breaking and drag to haul in the big ones. With the 9:1 gear ratio it doesn't take long to get them to the boat. I am placing my order for more of them.
