Review

Can we get a spinning reel in the black and blue

Own several already. Once you get it set right it casts all day without any trouble. Really wish they would bring back the spinning reel or make a new one in the black and blue tint style. Just saying.

Nice Reels

Easy reels to use. I am new to bait casters and really liking Crixus Armor X.
You can get a back lash but you really have to screw up to get one. Highly recommend this reel.

9+1 Bearings...UMMMM Not so fast.

This is an addition to my original review. I still love me reel, but having just taken it apart for annual service and cleaning, much to my dismay I cannot find the 9+1 bearing that they advertise for this reel anyway. Bearing are VERY important, because they are what makes the reel smooth and cast-able. That's why reel manufactures prominently display how many bearings on in their reels. I'm disappointed to find that Kastking SAYS they have 9+1 bearings in this reel, but even the schematic proves it only has 7 total.

Handles the Big Fish in the Pacific Northwest...These ain't Bass

I purchased a Kastking Circus Amour X to try out during the 22-23 Salmon Season here in the Pacific Northwest. I ordered a spare spool so I can quickly switch out from float fishing to drift or jig fishing.
I've now used the reel for King Salmon, Silver, Pink and even feisty hard fighting Steelhead. The reel has performed flawlessly. It's smooth casting and silky drag makes for a very enjoyable fight with even the largest fish. The solid aluminum case is lightweight so casting all day on the river or sound is remarkable easy and there is no twist or bind from case flexing. Kastking marketing would do well to introduce these reels for Salmon Fishers as this low profile, light weight, well made reels are the trend in our diverse fisheries up here in the PNW. Five Stars for this very nice, durable and well functioning reel.

Great bait casting reel and matching rod

This is my first purchase of a bait caster. After reading the reviews I decided to go with the Crixus XArmor and so glad I did. Was very satisfied with how quickly they anrrived! After watching several videos on setting up bait casters with mag brakes and setting it up by those instructions…..the reels functioned flawlessly!! The one thing I will add is that I have found that setting the mag brake toward the high end and then backing down works 100% better! Will definitely make more purchases from Kast King!!!! Great all around experience!
