Loves and dislikes of the brutus

Most of my fishing is bait casting gear (the royal legend II is an awesome reel, have all but the white because can't find one ) . Doing a lot more light stuff (wacky , ned , etc, ) . Not really into spinning gear due to used to reel on top thing . So I gave the zebco 33 a try , no complaints , But when the brutus first came out tried one . The casting , retrieve , drag were far and away much better then the 33 . Loved it . The problem was that I palm my reels , on the brutus the screw that holds the handle protrudes out . So when reeling it was always rubbing my palm . Just can't deal with that over long days of fishing . Over all best spin cast reel ever used except for that . Still use it once in while but did start using spinning gear more . I they would fix this I go back to them straight away . If you don't palm like I do , get one or two awesome for the price .

Nice reel

A pretty good reel for the money, smooth casting and retrieve. It is a quiet reel and casts a good distance. Drag is also good for a small closed face reel at this price. For Walleye sized fish and smaller, it will serve its purpose. For a little more money, the quality of the ZO3 Zebco reel has a better overall use.
