This is the first time we tried to order fishing rods and reels directly from KastKing. We like the rods all right, they came within 5 business days as promised. When we order we noticed a lot of medium light rods were out of order, hope we have better selection and all stocks will be available.
I was in need of a beast getter and thought I would try out Kast King…glad I did!
The website was intuitive and I was guided to the Crixus model for the weight/style (heavy/spinning) and I couldn’t pass on the price.
I ordered the rod and a Royale Legend spinner to compliment the set-up.
The rod and reel are very well built. Fit and finish is nice and belies the modest cost. Caught a nice largemouth yesterday on a buzz-bait and the performance was spot on. Smooth and fast “lip ripper”! Set the hook and pulled the fish up and out of some thick cover.
Exactly what I needed.
I’m not ready to overhaul my quiver just yet, but when it’s time I will roll in on the Kast King site to replicate this ensemble in a few different weights.
