Have not had a chance to use the reel, but feels solid and seems of a quality build. Came very well packaged and undamaged. Look forward to trying it out. Will give a further review when I do.

Only bad part, and reason for the 3 star rating is the retrieval on the one I received doesn't change to right handed. There is no threading on the opposite side of the reel. probably going to return as I am so much more comfortable right handed.
KastKing Kapstan SE Saltwater Spinning Reel
This was my first reel when I moved to Myrtle Beach and wanted something strong enough for all in shore species. Got the 4000 series and have been very happy. It has been my favorite reel so far and it became my even favoriter reel last night when I threw out my Carolina rig with half a stone crab on it and let it soak. Did not expect to be pulling in this thing!!! Hardest fight ever so far! Drag was screaming when he ran and this reel pulled him in no problem! Was aiming for reds, flounder, or any other inshore species but didn’t expect this! This reel has been dropped in salt water, gotten sand in it but after a little cleaning is good as new. I love this reel and for the price, with it being water proof and having the amount of drag it comes with, it’s a steal! I’m getting more soon!!! Paired with a 7’3” Favorite Fishing Defender medium-heavy fast action.
I have not used it, I just had a total knee replacement. So as soon as I can get out on the water I will try it. The reel looks and feels great, can't wait to give it a try.
