Each Kapstan Elite reel is equipped with 6 double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings that provide a superbly smooth feel even in rough conditions. ATTENTION-MANUAL BAIL DESIGN
To reduce line twist, we always recommend manually closing the bail arm after making a cast when using any spinning reel. However, on the size 3000 & 4000 Kapstan Elite Spinning reels, you can turn the handle to close the bail if you prefer. The size 5000/6000 & 8000 Kapstan Elite spinning reels are a different design. These reels require you to manually close the bail to begin the retrieve.

This reel is absolutely amazing! I’ve caught lots of sharks on this reel in both the 4000 and 8000 version. The 4000 version can manage basically any fish under 100 pounds. The 8000 version can tell in just about any fish in the world. I love this reel and it is completely waterproof! Rare to find this kind of jem. Props to Kastking for this amazing reel.
Just got my reel. Put on 30 pound braid and went straight to the shoreline. Hooked up a nice 11 1/2 White Papio and brought it in almost effortlessly! Papios usually give a more tough fight but I got to say this reel made the job much easier!
