At first I was skeptical but now I’m sold! I fish a lot of creeks and it’s a perfect tool to cast tiny rooster tails and micro crank baits. The distance in the casts are actually surprising, easy 30ft casts after dialing it in.
This is in my opinion a true bfs reel. It ccan throw the light baits and throw them a long way. Very smooth out of the box just like the Kestrel Elite(I own two). I was worried the smaller handle knobs might be an issue. A person with large hands may not like the knobs. This reel is on an Old 18 UL rod. My combo weighs 7.26 ounces. The reel is a touch over four ounces. I’m impressed enough to order another one. This is a winner for sure.

This thing is absolutely awesome, throws everything as good or better than my curado BFS, only gripe is the grip size but it’s pretty easy to get over when you’re unspooling the reel with a 1/8oz lure with ease

Like kestrel air is sovery lite. And ot can throw 16oz lures. I too own more than reel from Kastking. There Bfs are so affordable and functional
