Low Profile Design
While the new MegaTron 200 casting reels feature a larger frame and higher line capacities than normal baitcaster reels, they are still designed with a low-profile shape for comfortable, all-day fishing. The frame and side covers are made of lightweight and durable graphite that is carefully designed to fit comfortably in your hand. A wide, 105mm aluminum handle arm and beautiful 3A Cork knobs ensure you are always in control.

When I first saw the specs on this reel last year I was a little skeptical of the fact of a small graphite bait caster with 28.6lb. drag, so I ordered one along with a Gomexus carbon handle and a 7'6" Whisker Seeker.
This trip we targeted red grouper and hogfish this reel handled every fish I hooked not one glitch at all. After that trip I intentionally took the set up and placed it in the garage no clean up no anything, I wanted to see how it would handle the abuse (I also ordered 5 more reels and some rods from Kastking). I had 5 more trips planned in July 2025 this reel did not fail or let me down in anyway. I'm posting the hottest trip we had with our limit of reds , you have all of my business from here on out.

I picked up the Megatron 200 to try out for A-Rig fishing and what a treat it is.
I spooled it up with 17 lb. mono, put it on a 7'10" TFO rod and used a YUM Flash Mob Jr. A-Rig loaded with Keitech swimbaits on 1/4 oz. heads.
Very impressed with how easy it is to set the reels spool tension to achieve effortless casts with no backlashes. The double paddle reel handle cranks with ease and it's does a fantastic job presenting A-Rigs for largemouth bass.
I'm looking forward to casting the A-rig for my Lake Ontario smallmouth bass so stay tuned for that review.
Excellent real for the price. Smooth cast and retrieve easily pulled this pike in.
1st outing 3rd cast a 10.50 lb striper on a 6"glide, Reel performed perfect. I caught 7 in 2 hrs and not 1 issue.Great drag system aswell! Had trouble tuning it just right at first but got it none the less. Highly dependable. Time to check out the speed Demon Elite now.
Looks great and feels great. I paired it up with a castaway 6.5' rod and I can't wait to use them both.
I’m really enjoying this reel. My first 10 min using it I caught a 5.24lb largemouth! The learning curve wasn’t bad at all considering this is my very first baitcaster. If I had to give it a negative mark I would say I wish it was a little smaller in the hand. I like that it’s a 200 size reel but I wish it was just a little thinner. I love Kastking I now own 3 of their products.
