I have taken my New MG12 Elite twice now sine I received it. I'm very impressed with the way this reel casts. I can cast this reel a very long way without backlash. It only took me a few seconds to set up and I was catching fish!
I matched it up with The Speed Demon Pro Tournament Series Rod 7'3" Jig/Worm. This combo is so light, with a reel only weighing 4.8oz. Both the reel and rod have plenty of power as well. I highly recommend the MG12 Reel and the Speed Demon Rod! It will surely become one of your favorites.

This reel is very light in the hand and fits nicely in the palm, very compact. Smooth with good amount of line capacity. Excited to try this reel out when the snow melts in the Midwest! The brake system is what I’m most looking forward to!

Just received the new KastKing Mg12 Elite right handed bait casting reel. First impression was "man this thing is light". I spooled it up and tied on some different weighted lures to test out the casting. Man, what versatile reel. Casting is very smooth and I always worry about nesting with lighter lures on my other bait casters. The MG12 Elite is spot on the best bait casting reel I own and well worth the price tag. The braking system allowed me to throw a lighter lure that I can normally cast with a bait caster. This opens up the possibilities for my personal fishing. This is another fantastic product by KastKing.
