Blown away by the quality of this rod/reel combo. You even receive an extra top half with your purchase. I never heard of the company and figured I would give them a shot. I purchased some 6LB and 8LB mono and it is amazing. I think its my favorite combo set I have now but for a fraction of the price the some other brands. Good packaging for shipping. Not joking about High Quality.****UPDATE**** after a week of good use I have found this set up to be my main rod. I usually bring 3 to cut down on time for lure changes but I would rather snip and tie with this rod. I like it so much I came on here to purchase 2 more so I can see how it handles a little lighter line. Prices have gone up. Maybe we shouldnt give such good reviews but they are still well worth $110. I dont think you can touch a reel this nice for under $75 and you get two rod tips. For my original price I might have took two more but just going to get another one at the price increase. Im impressed by the line 6&8 mono. Going to try a braided this go around. Impressive quality

Excellent setup with smooth operation and casting. I set this up differently than I have done spinning rods in the past, I went with a monofilament backing, 15# Spiderwire EZ braid, then a 10# mono leader to attach the lure to. I felt like the medium action was very good for the 2# bass that I was catching at a little farm pond. Very enjoyable to use.

I used to build my own fishing rods and something I dislike about mass-produced rods is that the manufacturers never seem to line the guides up with the spine of the rod. This rod was no exception. Both end sections have the guides 90 degrees off to the actual spine. While it probably doesn't make much difference in the end, it would be nice to have the rod working at top performance.

Anyway, it's a very good setup and visually appealing. I went with the 3000 series reel since it is virtually identical in size to the 2000 but has more line capacity.

This rod and reel combo really is a smooth operating combo. The casting and reeling were smooth and effortless with this combo. The rod and reel held up well after sometime on the saltwater. Apart form it functioning well, I really like the overall look of the combo with the hunter green look.
