Lots of smallmouth bass boated. It brought in a small 22 inch Muskie and a 25 inch northern. Seemed to be a tough reel and properly adjusted backlash free. Loaded with 8 lbs cxx brought them all in.
Caught smallmouth, northern and a 24 inch Muskie and it performed the task. Cast very well after adjusting for bait weight and of course fast retrieve.
I bought this bait to throw rattle traps and the like. Seems to run fairly smoothly and when adjusted properly doesn’t backlash a lot. I have not yet had a chance to experience the drag system. Overall satisfied.
Well, my first experience with casting reels was when I was about 14. My dad had an old reel, probably from the ‘40s and had line that was almost like bailing twine. Backlash like crazy. Well, still learning. Nice reel and rod, love it.
This is the second speed demon I have orders that should tell you how good it is as I’m guiding everyday for the summer. Light and fast and matches well to the spirale rods.
