I would need all my fingers and toes, plus some, to count as many times as I have been hooked while carrying my rods from the garage to the boat. Carrying my rods from the truck to the lake, or taking rods out of the storage compartment on the boat before fishing. And, that does not even count the numerous times I have hooked my shorts, sneakers, or the dog's ear! Are we trying to snag ourselves, I am sure that is not the case, but it just happens. What if I could eliminate ever catching anything with your hooks except fish, and the occasional tree while fishing? Bait Kapsule

The Kapsule holds lures safely and securely, whether it be on the deck of the boat, carrying from house to car or boat, or just making sure no one gets hooked! The Bait Kapsule is a plastic housing that comes in four sizes to meet most anglers' freshwater or inshore saltwater needs to be protected from hooks penetrating things they are not supposed to. The Kapsules, however, will not work on oversize saltwater or very large freshwater lures due to sizing. For these lures, the KastKing Lure Wrap will be the way to go.

Lure Wrap

Several years ago KastKing came out with their version of a lure/hook protector for anglers—the Lure Wrap. This is a great piece of equipment that all anglers should carry and use, especially with larger lures. The Lure Wraps are designed to house the lure safely after hooking it to the lure keeper. This allows anglers to carry rods without the worry of errant hooking. The Lure Wrap is clear, so you can also see what lure you have tied on. As a bass angler, this is a great feature as we all know bass anglers change lures/rods just about every other cast. The Lure Wrap comes in two sizes, and four to a pack. The sizes are large enough for most lures, even larger saltwater surf or heavy freshwater lures for muskies as an example.

The large size, although comparable lengthwise to the Bait Kapsule, will work better with larger lures due to its larger width and shape. The extremely clear, 3mm PVC is a puncture-resistant material that protects your hooks and keeps them from tangling with other gear or from getting hooked in carpeting, clothing, ropes, or skin. Hook and loop style fasteners make opening and closing the Lure Wraps quite easy and fast. All hook and loop construction is sewn and not glued for the ultimate in durability and function. Hook and loop connections are 1/2-inch wide for a tight, secure fit, but will open easily when it's time to fish.
