(For Immediate Release – Wednesday May 6, 2020 – Garden City, Long Island NY) KastKing has announced they have added yet another Pro Tournament Angler, Matt Shura, to the KastKing Pro Staff.
Fishing in tournaments since 1988, Matt Shura has an impressive fishing record. He was a former AZ State Record holder for Largemouth Bass with a 15.86 pounder caught on a spinnerbait at Canyon Lake in 1991. Shura’s other credits include: 15 time Allstar Bass Team Championship Qualifier, 2004 Angler of the Year in Allstar Couples and American Bass, 13th Place US Open 2003, 8th Place US Open 2007, 8th Place US Open 2008, 2nd place ABA Championship Lake Mead 2009, and Angler of the Year- Allstar Bass Teams 2010.
“I am proud to be a part of the KastKIng Team!,” says Shura. “As a full time bass tournament angler, I rely on my equipment to make a living. I could not be happier with the performance of KastKing rods and reels. The Bassinator is truly the smoothest reel I have ever used.
“I was loaned a few KastKIng Bassinator reels to try out. I put them to the test throwing Alabama rigs for four days straight. I was very impressed with how smooth it was and how much farther I could cast. This product is going to improve my fishing.”
Although Shura’s home lake is Roosevelt Lake, AZ, he lists his favorite lake as Alamo Lake, AZ . In addition to being an active tournament angler throughout the Southwest, he balances his time between TV appearances, fishing lectures and being a full time fishing guide. He specializes in trips to Roosevelt and Bartlett Lakes spending over 200 days a year on the water.
“From Alaska to Florida, Team KastKing is loaded with some of the best anglers in North America,” says Al Noraker, VP of Business Development at KastKing. “As soon as I spoke to Matt and heard his passion for tournament angling and providing an educational and thrilling experience as a professional guide, I knew he was exactly the kind of angler I wanted on our team. KastKing is even better today with Matt Shura as our newest Pro Angler/Guide.”
Matt Shura will be using KastKing fishing rods, KastKing fishing reels, KastKing braided line and KastKing Kovert fluorocarbon line in future bass fishing tournaments and his guiding business.
