I just got the Verus 4k last week, I river fish so I spooled it with 30lb destron braid. Man this reel is nice! The drag is very smooth and the reel is like butter. Very smooth, but she's got teeth! I put 30 carp and redhorse on the bank this weekend with no troubles! Good way to put a reel to the test! Carp in heavy current are tough! Great reel- especially for the price!
I have been impressed with the kast king reels i fish alot on the gulf i also own shimanos daiwa and abu garcia reels the kast king performs very well at a fraction of the cost
This reel has already had its fair share of bass on it. Drag is good. I’m enjoying the reel very much.
