(FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – January 6, 2021 – Garden City, Long Island NY) KastKing (www.kastking.com) is proud to announce the signing of another pro angler to the KastKing brand, Blake Sylvester.
Sylvester is a fierce B.A.S.S. competitor who qualified for his first Bassmaster Classic after finishing second in the B.A.S.S. Nation Championship on the 67 square mile Pickwick Lake in Tennessee. Sylvester led for the first two days of the tournament against anglers from five regions representing 46 states competing for three classic berths.
29 year-old Blake Sylvester said from his home in Plaquemine, Iberville Parish LA, “I’ve achieved my lifelong dream of fishing the Bassmaster Classic this year, and I will be putting my trust in KastKing Products.”
“KastKing couldn’t be more pleased to have Blake on board,” says KastKing CMO Tom Gahan. “He has all the ethics and disciplines necessary to be a future Champ.”
Sylvester grew up around the swamps and bayous of Atchafalaya, LA. The Atchafalaya Basin is America’s largest river swamp, containing almost one million acres of America's most significant bottomland hardwoods, swamps, bayous and backwater lakes. His love for fishing began when his father taught him the sport at a young age. Since then, his passion has grown into something more than he could ever imagine.
“KastKing is proud to support young and determined anglers like Blake Sylvester as they strive to realize their dreams of reaching the pinnacle of bass fishing,” says Al Noraker KastKing’s Vice President of Business Development. “Blake has proven that he has the ability and resolve to meet his goals and we are proud that he will be relying on KastKing Bassinator Elite casting and spinning reels along with KastPro fishing lines as he competes in his first Bassmaster Classic this year. We fully expect that this is just the beginning of a great pro career for Blake and we plan on standing by him on his journey.”
“I have two dreams in life,” says Sylvester. “One dream is to qualify to fish the Bassmaster Classic. This past year I accomplished my life-long goal by qualifying for the 2021 Bassmaster Classic through BASS Nation. It was my first year competing in this circuit, and I was fortunate to make it all the way.
“My second dream, and most important, is the opportunity to teach my children the skills my father taught me. Although I currently work a full-time job to provide for my growing family, I fish as often as I can. When possible, I take my two-year-old daughter, and I will one day take my 5-month-old son. My love for the sport entices me to better myself while working towards my dream of becoming a pro-angler.
“2021 has the potential to be a great year for my fishing career. Not only am I fishing the Classic, but I qualified to fish all the Bassmaster Opens. Everything I’ve worked for. Everything my family has sacrificed. Everything that’s happened in 2020, good and bad, has paved the way for 2021. I’m ready for whatever the year brings!”
