So I used Kapstan Elite high speed 3,000 with destron 8x 20lbs braid line. Fishing the Padre National Seashore catching this Crevalle Jack 41.5” fish!! This reel ran smooth like butter when the jack took a run , and it was tug and pull fight for about 20 minutes! For the price and quality this product is so underrated!

Honestly I was hesitant I normally spend 300$ on spinning reels. But this Kapstan 5000 for 119.99$ with the coupon I found is absolutely ridiculous. I can’t speak to its longevity because it’s only been on two trips but it handled over 30 fish over 25lbs average with ease. Just buy one I have lures that cost more.
