Great reel!

I’ve used it for about a week and if you’ve never used a bait caster there’s definitely a learning curve but the reel makes it really easy to figure out! Super sensitive but not too floppy to the point where you can’t set the hook, caught a few bass and some little sunfish!! Great purchase and will be searching for some more bait casters soon!!

Great rod and reel

Great rod and reel. It cast super smooth. I run 6lb mono and haven't backlashed one time. You do have to set the weight when changing lures but that doesn't take no time. I've caught everything from tiny bluegill to some pretty big bass! It has held up wonderfully. I even use it for heavier stuff like topwater frogs on straight 6lb mono and haven't had any issues at all bringing in the big ones! Lol...If your second guessing on buying it, do yourself a favor and just get it. You won't regret it. I'm pretty hard on rod and reels and this thing is tough!

Great BFS rod for the price

I had my reservations about the quality of the reels and rods offered by Kast King but heard good things so I decided to roll the dice. I was not disappointed! Reel casts light BFS lures a long distance with easy and I have had 0 backlash issues. The rod is light and sensitive. I am very happy with my Kestrel BFS rod and reel!
